Construction Materials Testing Technician
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Materials Technician to join our team. As a Materials Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting construction materials, collecting data, and ensuring quality control throughout the construction process. Duties:
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Collect and analyze data on construction materials, including soils, concrete, and other materials
- Perform laboratory tests on samples to assess material quality and performance
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address any material-related issues or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and other relevant documentation
- Monitor construction sites for adherence to contract specifications and safety regulations
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding material selection and usage
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure that materials meet project requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction inspection or materials testing is preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data accurately
- Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment
- Familiarity with quality control processes in the construction industry
