Residential Intellectual and Developmental Disability, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse FacilitiesOutpatient Care CentersPsychiatric and Substance Abuse HospitalsOffices of Other Health PractitionersHome Health Care ServicesJob Title: Mental Health TherapistLocation: California City, CA 93505Schedule: Days, 5x8Duration: 12 Weeks (strong possibility of extension)Travel Pay Range: $2800 - $3150/Week for 40 HoursHourly Blended: $70 - $78.75Job Summary:Plans and provides non-medical clinical mental health services within a facility setting.Performs all essential functions at a pace consistent with established job performance requirements.Job Responsibilities:Conducts mental health screenings and assessments through record reviews and clinical inmate interviews.Develops, implements, and modifies individual treatment plans while documenting all activities in health records.Provides psychological counseling and crisis interventions while maintaining strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.Skills:Possesses five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable professional position.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques across a diverse caseload.Exhibits advanced expertise in evaluating inmate needs and functioning levels to ensure appropriate care.Required Education:Graduate from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or a degree in a related clinical area.Required Certifications & Licensure:Must possess appropriate LPC, LCSW, LMFT certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute.
