We are seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator with experience in K-12 educational facilities and CMAR to join our team. The Estimator will play a key role in preconstruction services, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, and supporting both the preconstruction and project management teams.
Responsibilities:
l Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with emphasis on K-12 and higher education facilities.
l Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and related documents.
l Solicit, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitive pricing and proper trade coverage.
l Assist in preconstruction budgeting, conceptual estimating, and value engineering.
l Coordinate with architects, engineers, and owners to clarify scope, identify risks, and align budgets with project goals.
l Develop bid packages, proposals, and project schedules.
l Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases for accuracy and competitiveness.
l Support the project management team post-award with scope review and buyout.
l Perform site visits as needed to verify existing conditions and ensure accurate estimates.
l Support CMAR delivery by developing conceptual budgets, cost models, and assisting in GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) proposals.
l Assist in the development of phased bid package strategies for CMAR projects.
Qualifications:
l 3+ years estimating experience with a commercial General Contractor required.
l Experience with CMAR projects and educational construction (ground up, renovations, and additions) strongly preferred.
l Proficiency in estimating software; Sage Estimating experience a plus.
l Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials.
l Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
l Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
l Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
l Willingness to occasionally travel for site visits and client meetings.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
