Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Doctor to join our outpatient clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise across various specialties, including internal medicine, family medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, and more. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care through accurate assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans within a fast-paced outpatient setting. Candidates should be proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and EMR platforms, with a strong focus on patient-centered care, clinical research, and adherence to HIPAA standards. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of patients across multiple specialties including primary care, cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, and others.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and diagnostic results.
Utilize EHR systems like Epic and other medical records platforms for documentation, order entry, and patient data management.
Perform or oversee diagnostic procedures such as CT scans, radiology evaluations, ultrasounds, and laboratory tests including pathology reports.
Manage acute and chronic conditions with appropriate interventions including medication management and procedural treatments such as suturing or catheterization.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for inpatient or outpatient care plans, discharge planning, and post-operative or post-acute care.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Engage in clinical research activities or telehealth consultations to enhance patient outcomes and stay current with medical advancements.
Provide patient education on health coaching, disease prevention, immunizations, and lifestyle modifications.
Supervise or collaborate with nursing staff during procedures such as airway management, ventilator support, or wound care.
Experience
Proven experience in outpatient clinical settings with a broad knowledge base spanning internal medicine, family medicine, cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), pediatrics, or related fields.
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms.
Experience performing diagnostic imaging interpretation (CT scans) or interventional radiology procedures is preferred.
Background in managing complex cases involving critical care (ICU experience), post-operative recovery (PACU), or trauma medicine is advantageous.
Familiarity with medical coding (CPT/ICD) for billing purposes along with documentation standards aligned with NCQA standards is desirable.
Prior involvement in clinical research trials or telehealth services is a plus.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and infection control protocols.
