Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Load and unload freight efficiently using forklift or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity and security Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness for each journey Manage route driving responsibilities with a focus on timely deliveries while maintaining a high standard of safety and customer service Document all driving activities accurately in logs, including mileage, fuel usage, delivery details, and any incidents or delays Communicate proactively with dispatch to coordinate pickups, deliveries, route adjustments, and address any issues that arise during transit Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks confidently and safely Familiarity with 53' dry vans and specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks Strong understanding of load & unload procedures for various freight types including roll-off containers Excellent route planning abilities to optimize delivery schedules across multiple locations Ability to handle physically demanding tasks related to freight handling and vehicle inspections Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo securement Embark on a rewarding career that combines the thrill of the open road with the satisfaction of delivering essential goods!
