Sanitation Supervisor

INTERRELATION:Reports to Operations Director/Plant ManagerCollaborates with: Production Manager/Supervisors, QA (Mgr/Sup/Techs), Maintenance (Mgr/Sup/Techs), Warehouse, Safety, Pest Control Service/Program, Contractors, Logistics, Sanitation Associates/Leads.POSITION OBJECTIVELead and coordinate sanitation operations across the bakery to ensure consistent execution of sanitation standards, chemical control, and Master Sanitation Schedule compliance. Ensure the plant is clean, hygienic, and audit-ready every day, enabling safe product, quality compliance, and on-time production start-ups through disciplined daily routines, effective team leadership, and timely closure of sanitation-related deviations and CAPAs.PRE-OPERATION & DAILY READINESSReview sanitation staffing, assignments, and required materials/tools/chemicals prior to each shift; adjust coverage to meet production start-up needs.Conduct daily plant walk-throughs to verify GMP conditions and identify gaps vs standard; correct, contain, and escalate findings per standard.Verify pre-operational cleanliness and readiness of lines/areas as required; ensure issues are addressed before release.Confirm chemical control compliance (labels, concentrations, storage, dispensing, SDS access); correct deviations immediately.Lead shift communication on sanitation priorities, safety hazards, allergens, and food safety risks.SANITATION EXECUTION & PLANT HYGIENE CONTROLAssign sanitation crews to clean and maintain equipment and areas per SSOPs.Monitor bakery sanitation needs and execution.Ensure accurate and timely sanitation documentation.Support production while protecting sanitation standards.MASTER SANITATION SCHEDULE (MSS)Maintain and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule with full documentation and verification.Support detailed sanitation inspections for Zones 1-4.FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY COMPLIANCEEnsure compliance with GMP, HACCP/Preventive Controls, and GFSI standards.Support CAPA completion.Assist with environmental testing programs.Support audits and inspections.PEST CONTROL & EXTERNAL PARTNERSSupport pest control programs and contractor oversight.SAFETY & COMPLIANCEEnsure safe sanitation work practices including PPE and chemical handling.LEADERSHIP & TRAININGSchedule, train, coach, and evaluate sanitation associates.Promote accountability and teamwork.CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTEvaluate sanitation methods and recommend improvements.Develop visual standards and quick reference guides.KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTSMinimum two years sanitation or food manufacturing experience.Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, sanitation systems.Microsoft Office proficiency.PCQI qualification required or obtainable.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to work in production environments and perform sanitation tasks.You can apply online at www.bimboqsr.com*Bimbo QSR conducts pre-employment drug testing and criminal background investigations.An Equal Opportunity EmployerJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:This position requires rotating schedules and weekend work.
