Job DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented self-starter to support our growing manufacturing operations. As a Staff Accountant, you will focus on cost accounting and financial analysis, helping to optimize budgets, improve cost-efficiency, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and data analysis.What You Will DoCost System Setup & MaintenanceThese Tasks Ensure The Foundational Accuracy Of Cost DataMaintain and update cost standard files; collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and supply chain departments to ensure accurate cost roll-upsMaintain cost system documentation and contribute to continuous process improvementsTransactional Recording & AccuracyThese Responsibilities Involve Daily/weekly/monthly Entries And Data IntegrityBook sales, intercompany transfers, labor, and inventory transactions accuratelyPrepare journal entries and verify the accuracy of monthly financial statementsInventory & Cost AnalysisThese Tasks Focus On Inventory Control And Cost EvaluationPrepare and reconcile monthly plant inventories and general ledger entriesCollect, analyze, and report on operational and manufacturing costsConduct annual physical inventory reconciliations and standard cost reevaluationsFinancial Reporting & Variance AnalysisThese Responsibilities Support Performance Tracking And ReportingGenerate financial reports and present variance analysisPerform account reconciliations and profit analysisStrategic Advisory & Budget MonitoringThese Tasks Support Decision-making And Budget AlignmentMonitor plant activities for alignment with financial and capital budgetsAdvise management on cost optimization strategies and process improvementsAudit & ComplianceThese Responsibilities Ensure Regulatory And Internal Control ComplianceAudit internal controls and indirect purchase reportsSupport external audit processes including Sarbanes-OxleyAssist with regulatory duties and miscellaneous financial projectsWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 2 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environmentExperience with Oracle, SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar ERP systems (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferredExcellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsHigh level of integrity and respect for confidentiality
