Position Type:Instructional/Teacher of the Visually ImpairedDate Posted:5/12/2026Location:Deaf Ed-Vision/AudiologyClosing Date:05/25/2026Additional Information: Show/HideLOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Various Districts in Monroe and Ontario CountyTERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Full-TimeSTARTING DATE: September 2026SALARY RANGE: $48,500 -$78,642 per school year (or higher depending on BUP negotiations)* Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.DUTIES:Develop and implement appropriate individualized IEP goals and objectives.Prepare CSE packets as required.Ensure IEP Compliance.Establish and maintain professional working relationships.Support districts/teachers with their inquiries.Conduct Functional Vision and/or O/M Assessments.Perform related duties as agreed upon with the Department Administrators.QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree and NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Blind/Visually ImpairedCertified/Qualified in Orientation and Mobility preferred.Experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired/Mobility Instructor preferred.Demonstrated ability to instruct in Braille inclusive of Nemeth Code preferred.Experience and/or Knowledge of Assistive Technology preferred.Open Minded and Flexible.Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills.Valid NY State Driver's License.Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
