Call 914-271-5151 ext. 110!RECEPTIONIST GENERAL JOB SUMMARYSky View Rehabilitation and Health Care, a 192-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Croton-on-Hudson, NY has an opening for a Part-Time Receptionist. Sky View serves as the bridge between hospital and home, spanning the gap from recovery to community reentry. Our luxurious and hotel-like environment is the ideal setting for those in need of Post Acute Rehabilitation or Long-Term Care. Our team of highly skilled physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapists really care and work together to create an individualized therapy plan that helps residents reach their highest level of functioning in as short an amount of time as possible – preparing for their eventual return home.Receptionist duties include greeting visitors, answering phones, managing switchboard, and routing calls (relaying messages when necessary) and providing light clerical support to other departments (making copies, typing correspondence, etc.)Receptionist is the responsible key person in the event of an emergency as the medium through which all messages are received and givenThe Receptionist shall be responsible for all phases of the Receptionist Office functions while on duty. This position is the responsible key person in the event of an emergency as the medium through which all communication and messages are received and given.Greets and welcomes visitors, staff, family members and admissions.Types literature and correspondence for all departments and provides clerical support as neededIs responsible for handling out employee paychecks.Operates office equipment. (follows manufacturer manuals)Arranges for maintenance and repair as necessary.Provides prospective employment applicants with application and instructions and forwards materials to Human ResourcesEnsures that resident clothes dropped off for labeling are marked with an identifying tag and forwarded to Housekeeping.Sorts and distributes facility mail to departments and nursing units.Orders office supplies in a cost-effective manner; maintains office supply inventory.Provides petty cash to residents; ensures signed slips are forwarded to business office for accounting.Maintains beauty parlor receipts; ensure slips are forwarded to business office for accounting.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Must be reliableFlexible to work holidaysClerical/receptionist experience preferred, healthcare experience a plus!Pleasant personality & ability to work with residents, families, & staff from various departmentsProficient in Microsoft OfficeAble to function independently, have integrity, flexibility, & the ability to work effectively with all personnelExcellent communication & organization skillsAbility to work well under pressure & be flexibleExemplary customer service skillsPatience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist any residents & co-workersCovid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDCWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer, celebrate diversity, & are committed to creating an inclusive work environment for all!
