Sanitation and Cleaning Associate

Your commitment to high standards and adherence to health department regulations will ensure our store meets both company and safety requirements.Key Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with fellow associates and customers.Implement safe food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of our products.Operate cleaning equipment to uphold floor conditions throughout the store efficiently.Maintain public restrooms, restocking supplies and keeping them clean and inviting.Perform thorough cleaning tasks including walls, vents, ceilings, and handling pest control when necessary.Facilitate cleaning by moving equipment and displays as needed.Replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes to keep our environment well-lit.Ensure cleanliness and availability of sanitation supplies in all departments.Shampoo and vacuum carpets and rugs, and follow up with mopping and scrubbing where needed.Mix cleaning solutions safely for optimal results.Manage snow and ice conditions outside the front entrance during winter.Handle minor maintenance tasks on cleaning equipment to keep operations running smoothly.Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.Resolve conflicts in a calm, cooperative manner.Uphold integrity and honesty in managing customer and business information.Follow instructions readily and seek help when needed to address business concerns.Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Be prepared to perform essential job functions effectively with or without reasonable accommodations.Minimum Qualifications:Ability to read and understand technical manuals and instructions.Competence in basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Writing skills for completing required forms.Team player with a collaborative spirit.Strong communication skills.Awareness of safety practices and protocols.Excellent customer service abilities.Desired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Any relevant previous work experience.Pay Range: $17.90 - $25.61 per hour.
