Area Sales Manager Sacramento, CA | Remote Western Funding is a dynamic, fast-growing auto finance company that partners with dealerships across North America to provide financing to consumers who lack traditional credit. As a subsidiary of Westlake Financial Services, we specialize in consumer auto financing and are looking for Area Sales Managers who can help dealer partners sell more vehicles through increased funding opportunities. Job Description What’s the role? Our Area Sales Manager is the face of Western Funding to our number‑one customer – the dealership. The focus of this role is to increase the number of funded deals by partnering with dealers who are a good fit for our products and the business model. You will identify, onboard, and manage growth with dealers in your local region, using a consultative sales and management approach to build strong, lasting relationships. What you’ll do as our Area Sales Manager? Present and communicate company products and services to all levels of management within independent and franchise dealerships, both live‑in person and remotely. Identify sales prospects and proactively contact assigned accounts. Follow up on new leads and referrals from telephone calls to independent and franchise dealers. Develop, maintain, and grow current and potential dealer partners within the independent and franchise dealer communities. Maintain constant and effective communication, via phone or in person, with dealer partners on current programs. Train dealers in Western Funding practices, ensuring proper documentation for fast funding of contracts. Qualifications Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) High school diploma or equivalent (required) College degree or equivalent work experience (preferred) Strong knowledge of automotive, finance, and sales Previous experience in the financial services sector or within a car dealership 1–2 years of challenging sales experience with a proven track record of success Clear and effective presentation skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of warm calling, appointment setting, and sales techniques Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology Results orientation, aligned with company objectives Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bi‑lingual (Spanish) a plus Comfortable traveling up to 75% of the time to visit auto dealers Compensation Plan First‑Year Salary Range: $54,000 – $125,000 per year (base salary + performance commissions) Average rep earning after 1 year: $79,000 Average earning of top 10 reps: $125,000 Commission potential: No cap (unlimited earning potential) Monthly mileage reimbursement: Average $450/month Exact starting compensation determined at the time of selection and will depend on location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
