About the Role Are you mechanically inclined and eager to build a long-term career in a skilled trade? Precision Roll Grinders is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Machine Shop Apprentices. This entry-level role offers paid, hands-on training in our world-class shop environment. Apprentices will learn the fundamentals of mechanical repair, precision machining, and grinding, with opportunities to grow into a Grinder Operator, Mechanic, or Manual Machinist—or cross-train in all three. What You’ll Do · Learn to disassemble, repair, and reassemble industrial equipment and components. · Gain hands-on experience working with a wide variety of tools and equipment commonly found in a machine shop. · Assist with set-up, operation, and inspection of shop equipment. · Support routine maintenance and contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient shop. · Work alongside skilled tradespeople, gradually taking on more independent responsibilities. What We’re Looking For · High school diploma or equivalent. · Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on shop work. · Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift. · Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends. · Team player with good communication skills. · Previous experience with hand or power tools is a plus, but not required.
