Sourcing Specialist

Job Title: Sourcing & Procurement Manager - Alibaba & China Procurement Specialist Company Overview: We are a fast-growing company specializing in sourcing and supplying high-quality products to clients in the Caribbean and the United States. Our company works closely with international partners, particularly in China, to provide the best products at competitive prices. We are seeking an experienced Sourcing and Procurement Manager who is an expert in navigating Alibaba and skilled in Chinese sourcing and procurement practices. Job Responsibilities: Lead the sourcing and procurement of products from China, primarily using Alibaba and other relevant platforms. Identify and evaluate new suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitive pricing. Manage the entire procurement process, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and order placement. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and sourcing agents in China. Continuously monitor market trends, new product developments, and supply chain innovations. Coordinate logistics, customs, and shipping to ensure timely delivery of goods. Oversee quality control to ensure sourced products meet the company's specifications and standards. Collaborate with internal teams to understand product needs, pricing strategies, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and supplier contracts. Working Hours: This position offers flexible hours, ideal for someone who has kids or other daytime commitments. Day Shift: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Night Shift: 8:00 PM - 12:00 PM (these can be flexible) This schedule allows for work during quiet, productive times while accommodating family and personal time during peak hours. Qualifications: Proven experience in sourcing and procurement, especially in China, with a deep understanding of Alibaba and similar platforms. Strong negotiation and contract management skills with Chinese suppliers. Familiarity with import/export regulations, customs, and shipping logistics. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
