System Engineer

Overview We are seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining system architecture while ensuring high levels of performance and security. Qualifications Minimum of five years of experience in IT Systems Engineering or Virtualization Engineering Proficiency in VMware vSphere ESXi and Hyper-V environments Experience with VMware Horizon VDI Environment Strong understanding of Networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Switching, Routing, Firewalls) Ability to monitor and maintain network security at all levels Design and implementation of computer server environments, including security backup, recovery, maintenance, and automation Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup procedures Skills in evaluating and recommending computer hardware and software Capability in planning, coordinating, and scheduling projects Experience in system analysis, tuning, and administration of Windows, or Linux servers Responsibilities This role requires proficiency in designing and maintaining VMware Horizon VDI, VMware vSphere, and Hyper-V server environments They will also possess expertise in implementing and managing storage area networks (SAN) and database systems, as well as integrating new technologies into the existing data center environment Architect and maintain VMware environments to optimize virtual desktop infrastructure Deploy and manage VMware vSphere and Hyper-V Server Environment for robust virtualization solutions Engineer and manage storage area networks (SAN) and Database Systems to support data integrity and accessibility Plan, implement, analyze, design, and maintain computer hardware, operating system software, data storage, and database management systems in a complex multi-system environment Provide support and resolve issues for LAN, WLAN, and WAN Monitor networks and systems to verify integrity and availability Install and configure network hardware, including cables, switches, routers, and firewalls Develop and maintain technical documentation such as system diagrams and standard operating procedures Perform backup operations to ensure data recoverability and manage physical storage and security of backup media Conduct OS updates, patches, and configuration changes Support customers daily with issues and or projects Feild and answer calls from customers related to IT issues Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
