You will work with a team building an operational software and AI system. A critical part of your role will include evaluating and integrating external tools, hands-on software testing, and adjudicating user feedback. You will bridge the gap between the customer's mission domain and our software engineering and AI teams to ensure solutions genuinely address operational pain points.ResponsibilitiesElicit and define stakeholder needs through user engagementTranslate stakeholder needs into software and AI system specificationsEvaluate and integrate external tools into operational softwarePerform end-to-end requirements management including creation, decomposition, traceability, flow-down, verification tracking, and compliance matricesDevelop and execute test procedures to verify ad validate system requirements; generate formal test documentationSupport the development, integration, and validation of software and AI-enabled capabilities by collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycleParticipate in program milestone events including customer meetings, government testing events, and discrepancy report review boardsMinimal travel estimated to be once per quarterQualificationsRequired: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, IT, or related engineering fieldAt least 5 years of professional experience working in software development or systems engineeringDemonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engagement with virtual teamsEffective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well in a small team and fast paced agile environmentAbility to translate mission requirements into software and AI requirements and featuresAbility to manage requirements to include requirements traceabilityAbility to develop and execute test procedures that verify software requirementsWorking knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development MethodologyAbility to work at an off-site locationActive TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with adjudicated PolygraphDesiredKnowledge of AI/ML concepts, tools, and technologyExperience with UI/UX design, prototyping tools, or user-centered design methodologyExperience with using automated tests for formal requirement verificationExperience with government Site Acceptance process and proceduresExperience in working with software-defined interfaces that use either XML or JSON to both document and implementDemonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needsFamiliarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US GovernmentExperience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionalityExperience with Cameo modeling toolsExperience developing a software architecture using digital toolsExperience with DOORS or DOOR Next GenExperience with GitlabCurrent IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CISSP, or CASP)What You Can Expect A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
