IT Training Specialist (Healthcare)

Our healthcare client based near Downtown Los Angeles, CA is actively seeking an IT Training Specialist with a minimum 2-3 years of experience in providing training in a healthcare setting. Prior healthcare experience is a must! Position is contract to hire and also Hybrid - approximately 70% onsite, 30% remote - Local candidates onlyIT Training Specialist - ResponsibilitiesPresent information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.Schedule classes based on the availability of classrooms, equipment, and instructors.Create “self-paced” learning avenues using video, audio, and other computer-based learning tools.Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides, and course materials such as handouts and visual materials.Develop specific classroom-style training programs for new applications and hardware.Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities and program effectiveness.Evaluate training materials prepared by departmental instructors, such as outlines, text, and handouts.Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, and/or consultation with managers, or end-users.Design, plan, organize, and direct orientation and training for employees on Information Technology applications.Keep up with technology developments in the area of expertise by reading current journals, books, and magazine articles.Education:Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.Minimum Requirements:Minimum 2-3 years of proven IT virtual and in-person training experience, in a healthcare setting.Competency in both Ambulatory and Inpatient Cerner clinical bundle of applicationsProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and VisioExperience training business applications such as ServiceNow, Kronos, Lawson, etc., is a plusAbility to understand business and clinical application workflowsExperience writing eLearning scripts is a plusHands-on experience developing a range of training materials, including but not limited to participant guides, job aids, quick reference guides, and short video tutorialsExperience utilizing SnagItExperience working in a large and dynamic project environment preferredProven track record of excellence and commitment as a professional
