Packer 3rd Shift

Job Summary Responsible for preparing the slit rolls and finished bags/pouches for shipment to the customer. Responsibilities Cut cores Wrap and secure finished goods to pallet Write up and attach pallet labels and pallet tickets Weigh and stretch wrap finished pallets Box up finished pallets stage finished pallets in finished goods location Dump trim and scrap from slitters Report all safety related problems & accidents to immediate supervisor Maintains and keeps equipment and/or work area in an orderly manner Observes plant safety rules Help maintain productivity on the slitter machine Performs other related work as required Unloads slitter tables and palletize roll stock in an efficient manner Responsible for the training of new hires and incumbent employees. Performs other related work as required. Experience/Qualifications Use of pallet jacks – both manual and electric Basic computer skills Physical Demands Repetitive standing, walking, squatting, bending and stooping Lifting requirement of up to 50 lbs.
