Job DescriptionAs an R&O Maintenance Technician here at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of our equipment and systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety and performance in our operations.You will report directly to our Maintenance Manager, and you’ll work out of our Metropolis, IL location.In this role, you will impact the success of Solstice Advanced Materials by ensuring that maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Including But Not Limited To The Following Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment performance. Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations Lead assistants in assembling GF2 Cells and associated sub-assemblies. U.s. Person RequirementsDue to U.S. export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status under asylum or refugee.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtimeDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, utilizing your expertise in mechanical systems to identify root causes and implement effective solutionsRepair and replace faulty components and parts, ensuring proper functioning of equipment and systemsConduct regular inspections and tests to identify potential issues and address them proactivelyCollaborate with crossfunctional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of issuesMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspectionsAdhere to safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and othersQualificationsYOU MUST HAVE 3+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field. Familiarity with plant site Ability to diagnose Equipment failures in your respective areas Fundamental understanding of GF2 Process Ability to assemble sub-equipment and follow Bill of Materials to ensure all components are accounted for Proficient Knowledge of mechanical systems. Understanding of GF2 Electrical Systems Familiarity with maintenance management systems and practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. CompensationThe annual base pay range for this position is $62,880 to $78,625. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
