Responsibilities include coordinating defensive strategies for football, leading and managing the track program, and assisting with the powerlifting program. The role involves planning and executing training sessions, analyzing performance, and promoting teamwork and discipline. The position requires collaboration with other coaches and staff to support the overarching athletic program objectives. Ensuring student-athletes’ safety, compliance with regulations, and fostering sportsmanship and academic achievement are key priorities. Teaching field is DAEP.QualificationsProficiency in designing and executing defensive strategies for football and creating development plans for athletesProven experience in coaching track and powerlifting, including training program creation and strength conditioningStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to mentor and guide student-athletesAbility to work collaboratively with coaching staff, administration, and parentsKnowledge of UIL or other athletic regulations and commitment to ensuring complianceBachelor's degree in education, sport management, or a related fieldTeaching certification in line with Texas education standardsPrevious coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is preferredFirst Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certificationCDL or ability to obtain
