We navigate legalizations, landmark approvals, and tight urban sites with a clear, modern design sensibility and an equal commitment to constructability and economy.Our studio is located in the heart of South Norwalk, steps from the Metro-North station.The RoleWe are looking for an Intermediate Architect to take on meaningful responsibility across all phases of practice. This is not a production-only role — you will contribute to design, documentation, consultant coordination, and client communication from day one. You will grow alongside the firm.This is primarily an in-office position with flexibility for work/life balance.Required QualificationsProfessional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)3–6 years of professional experience in an architecture firmExperience with commercial core and shell and/or multifamily residential in an urban infill contextProficiency in AutoCADStrong 3D modeling, rendering, and presentation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsRevit proficiency (we are actively transitioning to BIM workflows and this is a near-term priority)Familiarity with NYC zoning and building codeExperience with LPC (Landmarks Preservation Commission) submissions — this is a significant plusARE completion or active progress toward licensureCompensation & BenefitsSalary range $70,000–$85,000 commensurate with experienceMonthly health insurance stipend (QSEHRA)15 days PTO plus federal holidays and end-of-year studio closureContinuing education and ARE supportSend your resume, portfolio and work samples (PDF, under 10MB) toinfo@jalittle.com.
