Cost AccountantManufacturing EnvironmentRole OverviewWe are looking for a results-driven Cost Accountant to play a key role in managing and improving cost-related financial processes within a manufacturing setting. This position will focus on building accurate cost structures, analyzing operational performance, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support pricing, inventory, and financial close activities.This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a data-heavy environment, understands manufacturing economics, and enjoys translating cost data into meaningful business insights.Own and maintain product and inventory costing methodologies, including standards and actualsAnalyze cost performance and identify drivers across materials, labor, and overheadProduce recurring cost and inventory analyses to support leadership decision-makingInvestigate variances and partner with operations and finance leadership on corrective actionsUpdate and maintain standard costs and bills of material within the ERP systemSupport month-end close activities related to inventory, COGS, and manufacturing accountsPerform general accounting duties including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationsReview and analyze cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory adjustmentsAssist with internal control initiatives and audit requests related to costing and inventoryContribute to pricing reviews, margin analysis, and product cost updatesBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineAt least 5 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing or production environmentStrong working knowledge of cost accounting concepts and GAAPExperience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent systemsAdvanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data setsStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively with both finance and operations teamsProven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
