Safety and Health Manager
Summary of Job:Facilitate and drive a company culture that integrates safety, industrial health, programs, and practices into daily activities/initiatives. Provide strategic planning and comprehensive safety and industrial health, expertise to the Lee Company business teams. Provide oversight and direction to multiple construction, manufacturing, and service locations.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Safety and Health or related field preferredCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or CSHM preferred5 years in Safety and Industrial Health experience or demonstrated ability in leading safe organizations5 years leadership experience preferredOr any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.OSHA 10- and 30-Hour Construction and/or General Industry Authorized Outreach Trainer required.Skills and Abilities:Thorough knowledge of Federal, State, and local safety and health rules and regulationsCompassion, empathy, and relationship buildingMust be available to be on call for emergencies.Demonstrated knowledge of current leadership, management, and supervisory methodsDemonstrated consultative and facilitation skillsProgram development and design skills, including training needs assessmentStrong conflict resolution skillsAbility to lead and motivate individuals and teams to achieve program and project objectivesThorough knowledge of Safety and Industrial Health Management principlesStrong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong presentation skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong budget forecasting and planning skillsAbility to operate a computer and supporting softwareDemonstrated ability to compile and analyze basic data, develop metrics, and perform cost benefit analysisAbility to work independently and interdependently with all levels of management and staffAbility to manage multiple projectsCompany Perks & BenefitsOur mission at Lee Company is to create a workplace where our employees can thrive, and we back that up with action.
