Planning & Procurement AnalystPosition Summary: Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm 100% on-site This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent's global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging. Catalent offers GMP secondary packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product, or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes. Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Planning & Procurement Analyst. The Planning & Procurement Analyst supports end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. This role partners closely with Procurement, Project Management, Operations, Finance, and Suppliers to optimize cost, improve supplier performance, mitigate risk, and ensure continuity of supply. The analyst provides actionable insights to support strategic sourcing decisions, inventory optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives. The Role: Support Sales and Operations planning processes as needed Support sourcing initiatives, RFQs/RFPs, and supplier evaluations through cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis Track procurement savings, cost-avoidance initiatives, and contract compliance Analyze purchase price variance (PPV) and identify root causes Support contract lifecycle management, pricing reviews, and index-based price adjustments Support tactical purchasing activities as needed Monitor supplier performance metrics (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness) Identify supply risks and support mitigation actions (dual sourcing, safety stock, supplier escalation) Support supplier business reviews with data-driven insights Analyze planning and procurement data (spend, inventory, lead times, supplier performance) to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, PPV, cost savings, supplier lead times) Support demand and supply planning analysis to improve forecast accuracy and material availability Monitor inventory levels, slow-moving and obsolete (SLOB) inventory, and working capital impacts Support materials and/or production planning and/or scheduling activities as needed Participate in any/all aspects of the S&OP planning Identify opportunities to improve supply chain and procurement processes through automation, standardization, and better data usage Support internal controls, audit requests, and compliance related to procurement activities Partner with Finance to ensure accurate accruals, forecasts, and spend visibility Support project management, engineering, and other improvement projects as needed Other duties as assigned The Candidate: Bachelor's degree: (Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, etc.) 3+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, or analytical roles ASCM/APICS, PMP, SixSigma YellowBelt is preferred Experience working in highly regulated environments and strong knowledge of xGMP regulations is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Why you should join Catalent: Defined career path and annual performance review and feedback process Diverse, inclusive culture Positive working environment focusing on continually improving processes to remain innovative Potential for career growth on an expanding team within an organization dedicated to preserving and bettering lives 152 hours of PTO + 8 paid holidays Generous 401K match Medical, dental and vision benefits effective day one of employment Tuition Reimbursement - Let us help you finish your degree or start a new degree!
