Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Description Summary: For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.This position is an integral member of the accounting team and provides accounts payable and accounts receivable support to the accounting department for a major project. The accounts payable / receivable manager will oversee and participate in the development of the Accounts Payable department's work plan; monitors workflow; reviews and evaluates end work product, methods.Responsibilities:Evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities, recommends improvements and modifications and prepares various reports on operations and activitiesProvides AP management support and assistance to managersResponds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needsActively participate in and drive continuous improvement projectsEnsure that vendor accounts payable processing is complete, accurate and timely and manage efficiency and effectivenessThe entry of invoices into the accounts payable systemReviewing invoices for proper coding and approvalsMatching invoices to the appropriate PO / WOCommunicating with internal departments regarding invoice discrepancies or coding questionsReconciling vendor statementsMaintaining vendor files, including scanning and electronically filing documentsResponding to vendor inquiries and communicate with vendors regarding invoice or statement discrepanciesResearch outstanding checksMonthly reporting of AP KPI's, including aged lists, etc.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience6-10 years high volume Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivables experienceProficient in software such as Sage 300 (Timberline)Strong analytic skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong proficiency in Microsoft word and excelPlanning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Company DescriptionWe are a boutique style professional company in commercial construction, program management, and technology.
