Fertilization Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION Position: L awn Specialist Location: Cocoa, Florida Job Description--The Lawn Specialist at Paradise Lawns is a role for a self motivated, and goal oriented individual. Position Overview--The Lawn Specialist provides service to our commercial customers by making timely applications to their lawns, landscape, diagnosing, and correcting customer issues through our service. This helps in retaining and growing our customer base. Lawn Specialists also complete production forms and a valid driver’s license is required. ● Communication- You must be able to interact with customers and/ or property managers as it relates to their landscape investments. ● Safety- You will be responsible for the being safe while using all equipment used and operating company vehicles. ● Being responsible for organizational duties including equipment and products. ● Ensure proper disposal of all pesticide/fertilizer residue and containers. ● Be able to indentify insects, weeds, and diseases as it relates to job function and implement appropriate control solutions. ● Working diligently with your supervisor in obtaining monthly production goals. Experience: ● Minimum of 1 year experience working with pesticides and fertilizer. Knowledge: ● Knowledge of chemical application equipment. ● Understanding of Governmental regulations, product labeling and manufacture’s instructions for chemicals. ● Bilingual is a plus Ability To: ● Be able to use all assigned tools and equipment in a safe manner. ● Be proficient in completing daily paperwork/ Work Orders as each job requires. ● Maintain work vehicle and do safety inspections on truck and trailer if applicable. ● Abide by company policies and procedures and safety guidelines at all time while at the shop and in the field. ● Work as a team and be able to report to upper management or crew leader when needed. ● Be organized in having all proper equipment, tools, supplies ect. Loaded on your truck at all times. ● Comprehend instructions and be able to carry out a task and be organized with your work assignments. ● Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting a positive work environment. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: ● Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body in order to be able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, squatting, standing, bending over and walking for long periods of time. ● You must be able to extend your arms over your head and also be able to have steady balance. ● Have full feeling of your hands. ● Be able to push, pull and lift materials and equipment to assigned areas of the job site. ● Lift or move at least 25 lbs on a regular basis, and up to 75 pounds if necessary. ● Be able to maintain these physical requirements at all times in this job position. ● You must be able to have good vision, including but not limited to being able to see in the distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to focus. Working Conditions: ● Weekend or overtime if necessary. ● Working in adverse weather is required when necessary. ● Employees are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Benefits: Health Insurance
