Payroll Specialist

Job Summary:Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with hands-on Workday experience to support accurate and timely payroll processing for a multi-employee organization. Based on general knowledge.Key Responsibilities:Process payroll on a regular schedule with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Based on general knowledge.Maintain employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and direct deposit information. Based on general knowledge.Use Workday to manage payroll transactions, employee data updates, and reporting. Based on general knowledge.Review and audit payroll data to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Based on general knowledge.Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee questions, and timekeeping issues. Based on general knowledge.Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance teams regarding new hires, terminations, benefits deductions, and compensation changes. Based on general knowledge.Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities. Based on general knowledge.Support payroll tax filings, garnishments, wage attachments, and related compliance processes. Based on general knowledge.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information. Based on general knowledge.Qualifications:2+ years of payroll processing experience. Based on general knowledge.Required experience using Workday for payroll functions. Based on general knowledge.Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Based on general knowledge.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills. Based on general knowledge.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
