Travel Educational Interpreter - Burlington, ND

A school is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support communication for students and staff. This role is based in Burlington, ND, with travel required to various school locations within the district.Key Responsibilities:Facilitate effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their teachers, classmates, and staffInterpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction and school activitiesCollaborate with educators and support personnel to promote an inclusive learning environmentAttend meetings and provide interpreting services as needed during school events and parent conferencesMaintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and ethical standardsQualifications:Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience in educational settingsKnowledge of Deaf culture and effective communication strategiesAbility to travel between multiple school sites within the areaStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCertification in sign language interpreting preferred but not requiredLocation:Based in Burlington, ND, with travel to nearby schools as required
