From weddings and holiday parties to corporate retreats and social gatherings, our catering team delivers unforgettable events with creative menus, seamless service, and elevated design expertise.We are currently seeking Line Cooks to join the Proof of the Pudding team at Comerica Center. Proof of the Pudding, the food service provider for the Home to the NHL's Dallas Stars Executive Offices and the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks' G-League affiliate, Comerica Center is a multi-purpose arena in Frisco, Texas that seats up to 6,000 people and features amenities such as a state-of-the-art sound system, three 11'X19' HD video screens, 12 suites and a private lounge area. Comerica Center is looking for. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking food items that result in high quality of taste and appearance to satisfy guests and maximize food revenues. We are offering competitive pay and on-the-job training at one of the most scenic venues in Frisco.This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic eventsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSetting up and sanitizing workstations.Following prep lists that are created by lead culinary.Measuring ingredients and seasonings.Preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock (HOT FOODS) to be used in the cooking process.Preparing simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef.Ensuring that all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers.Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.Maintaining the highest level of food quality with your culinary team.Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas.Running food on game-days.Performs other related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or Experience:1+ year of experience working in a kitchen, experience in catering is preferred.High School diploma or equivalent preferred.ServSafe certified or is available to receive training.Specialized Qualifications:Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner.Excellent listening and communication skillsMust understand food safety practices including, but not limited to, TCS, temperature logs, and cleaning/sanitizing.Planning and multi-taskingSelf-motivated with a high energy level and strong verbal communication.Availability to work all home Comerica Center events.Work EnvironmentThe work environment for this position will be event operations and working throughout the culinary department located at Comerica Center.Uniform RequirementsAdherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.Physical Demands:Prolonged periods of moving through an event space, and traveling throughout the stadiumBending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food itemsManual dexterity is able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.CORE VALUE AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSBusiness Acumen - Demonstrate comprehension of the job, including policies, practices, and relationships.
