JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Quality EngineerLOCATION: Hayward, CA (Onsite)PAY RANGE: $76 - 86/hr.DURATION: 6 monthsTOP 3 SKILLS:Engineering Bachelor s Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial fields with 6 8 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineeringExpertise in FMEA process creation, Control Plans, and APQP with the ability to work independentlyAutomotive industry experience (OEM or Tier 1 supplier) and process improvement knowledge (Lean Six Sigma / Shainin)Job Description:The Manufacturing Process Quality Engineer will ensure that all processes conducted as part of the assembly, bring-up, and End-of-Line (EOL) testing of our vehicles meet the high-quality standard of ***. This includes the development and implementation of In-Line and End-of-Line quality checks, as well as driving the root cause resolution of any issues that occur during the manufacturing process. As part of a daily routine, the Manufacturing Process Quality Engineer will interact with many different parties, including Corporate Quality, Vehicle Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Software.Responsibilities:Development and integration of quality and functional checks into the manufacturing processConduct root-cause analysis for any assembly-related issuesDevelopment, implementation, and optimization of the End-of-Line processCreating and maintaining PFMEAsDevelopment and implementation of control plansAnalysis of quality data to improve the assembly and test processWork cross-functionally to help resolve supplier quality or design-related issues that occurred during the manufacturing processContribute to the definition and improvement of *** Quality Policy and ManualCreate the procedures, instructions, and processes that will allow *** to align with international standards for Quality Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9000, and similar)Qualifications:Engineering Bachelor's Degree in the respective field (Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial)6 8 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineeringExperience with creating FMEA process / Control Plan / APQPAble to work fully independently with minimal supervisionBonus Qualifications:Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experienceProcess Improvement certification (Lean Six Sigma / Shainin)CATIA V5/V6 experienceBENEFITS SUMMARY: Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
