This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll work directly with general contractors, government agencies, and industry partners to deliver tailored perimeter security solutions that protect critical infrastructure and facilities.Key Responsibilities:Build lasting relationships with existing clients—and develop new ones—to fuel sustained business growthTake command of bid packages: review plans, specifications, addenda, and RFIs with speed and precisionCommunicate clearly and proactively with general contractors and design teams to clarify scope, identify gaps, and align expectationsSource and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring full compliance with project requirementsProduce detailed, accurate cost estimates and written technical proposals that win jobsPresent your estimates and strategies to senior leadership for approval—your work will help guide key business decisionsOwn the bid process from start to finish: track submissions, follow up relentlessly, and close the dealLead the project handoff process to ensure a smooth transition to project management team—your clarity sets the project up for successSupport contract negotiations and provide insight throughout the preconstruction phaseOccasionally manage select projects, giving you a full view of the impact your estimates have on executionQualifications & Experience3-5+ years of proven experience in construction estimating, procurement, and project managementDeep knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials—bonus points if you know fencing and security systemsProficiency in estimating tools like Excel and Bluebeam; experience with Procore or similar platforms is a plusStrong math and analytical skills—you enjoy solving problems and finding efficiencies others missExcellent communication and negotiation skills—you’re persuasive, articulate, and clear under pressureAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and contract documents with easeAttention to detail with the ability to determine scope, scope gaps, and contradictionsSelf-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a high-performing teamHighly organized and proactive, with the ability to juggle multiple bids and deadlinesU.S.-based, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass federal background checks for secure jobsite accessWhy Join Hercules Custom Iron?Work on high-profile commercial and high-security projectsCollaborative team environment with opportunities for growthStable and growing company with a reputation for excellenceHands-on involvement in custom fabrication and projects that make an impact
