Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Therapist at District Counseling, LLC. The Therapist will provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Daily responsibilities include assessing client needs, developing tailored treatment plans, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with other professionals as necessary. The Therapist will serve as a compassionate support system for clients, helping them navigate challenges and foster personal growth, while adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards. Qualifications Clinical skills in conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and providing individual, group, or family therapyExperience with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, or Solution-Focused TherapyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clientsProficiency in documentation and maintaining compliance with patient confidentiality standardsAbility to work independently and effectively in a remote environmentLicensure or certification as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist in DC, Maryland, or VirginiaMaster’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related fieldCommitment to cultural competence and sensitivity in a diverse client populationExperience working in telehealth settings is an assetStrong organizational skills and a client-centered approach to therapy
