Assistant Project Manager / Estimator – Commercial Roofing

Location: Near Columbus, OHPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and career-driven Assistant Project Manager / Estimator to join a growing commercial roofing company near Columbus, Ohio. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop a long-term career in commercial roofing, project management, and estimating.The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, highly organized, and capable of supporting multiple aspects of roofing operations, including estimating, purchasing, project coordination, and field support. Recent graduates with Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or related degrees are encouraged to apply.This position is approximately 85% office-based and 15% field-based.ResponsibilitiesAssist with project submittals and closeout documentationSupport estimating efforts, including quantity takeoffs and bid preparationAssist with purchasing materials and coordinating deliveriesTrack project schedules, budgets, and job progressCoordinate with project managers, superintendents, vendors, and subcontractorsParticipate in project meetings and client communicationsVisit job sites periodically to monitor progress and gain field experienceAssist with change orders, RFIs, and project documentationMaintain organized project files and recordsLearn all aspects of commercial roofing project management and operationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferredRecent graduates encouraged to applyPrevious construction, roofing, internship, or project coordination experience is a plusStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesValid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites as neededCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $70,000 – $80,000Performance-based bonus opportunityCompany truckHealth insurance benefits401(k) planPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and advancement opportunitiesLong-term career growth with an established commercial roofing contractor
