We are looking for a highly driven individual that will repair and maintain both mechanical equipment and the structure of the establishment to sustain material production. Additionally, you will…Learn multiple aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance throughout the shopAssist a mechanic or electrician in associated repairs and maintenance workProcure welding supplies and consumables as well as maintenance equipment as necessaryMaintain an incident log of all equipment and structural repairs both weekly and monthlyConstruct and assemble new machines as well as upgrade older machinesWhat It TakesRequired QualificationsThe ability to identify and communicate maintenance or product problems to departmental supervisiona minimum of two years work experience in a mechanical maintenance positionThe ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environmentThe ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions The ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividingHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also PossessHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentTwo years of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentOne year of previous experience operating a forklift in a professional environmentMust have a high awareness for safety at all timesMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsBenefitsValmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family’s overall wellness needs are met.
