The Recruiter is responsible for managing the recruitment process to attract and hire qualified candidates in support of staffing needs at American Place Casino. This role partners with internal stakeholders and department leaders to understand hiring needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and deliver a positive candidate experience. The Recruiter also builds and maintains relationships with external organizations, community partners, and professional networks to strengthen the organization's talent pipeline while ensuring compliance with property policies and all applicable federal, state, local, and Illinois Gaming Commission regulations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally while maintaining strict confidentiality of applicant and team member information.

What is expected of you:
Manage the recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and candidate selection to support staffing needs across the property.
Partner with department leaders and internal stakeholders to understand hiring needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure timely placement of qualified candidates.
Create, post and manage open positions through approved recruitment channels, including internal postings, the American Place Casino website, job boards, and external advertising platforms.
Represent the property at job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives to promote employment opportunities and build a strong talent pipeline.
Maintain and update job descriptions to ensure alignment with operational needs and regulatory requirements.
Manage applicant tracking and recruitment documentation, ensuring candidate records are accurate, organized, and compliant with property standards.
Prepare and generate manual recruitment and HR reports for leadership.
Ability to handle high volume and stress situations.
Assist and participate with team member engagement initiatives, recruitment events, and company-sponsored activities as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all candidate, team member, and property information.
Perform other duties as assigned to support Human Resources and property wide operations.
Experience you will need:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
2+ years' experience in recruiting supporting recruitment preferred
Bilingual language skills (highly preferred, not required)
A high level of integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc; as our processes are sometimes manual)
Familiarity with HRIS and or ATS platforms (UKG preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Constantly handle, wrist motion, sit, hear, and eye/hand coordination
Frequently speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend, and stoop
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations.

Salary Range: $50,000-$82,500
