Mission Assurance Research Analyst

Join Our TeamC5T is seeking a motivated and analytically driven Mission Assurance Research Analyst to support mission-critical operations in a dynamic Department of Defense environment. The selected candidate will play a key role in enhancing organizational effectiveness, staff performance, and mission resilience across USTRANSCOM and the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).This position is based near Scott Air Force Base, IL, supporting USTRANSCOM Headquarters operations. We bridge the gap between operational and technical domains.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Build and maintain collaborative relationships with headquarters staff, component commands, and mission partnersAnalyze mission assurance processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvementSupport development and execution of organizational development and performance improvement initiativesFacilitate workshops, interviews, and working groups to gather data and stakeholder inputCollect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to support mission assurance and research objectivesTranslate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for leadership decision-makingPrepare and deliver briefings, reports, and decision-support materials for senior leadersSupport after-action reviews and contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement effortsTrack implementation of recommendations and assess effectiveness over timeMaintain documentation in accordance with program requirements, records management, and security protocolsEnsure all work aligns with DoD mission assurance frameworks, policies, and operational planning processesCoordinate with interagency and coalition partners to identify and incorporate leading practicesSupport mission resilience efforts in both steady-state and contingency operationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field and minimum 5 years of DoD, military, or interagency experience (or Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience)Familiarity with mission assurance concepts, risk management frameworks, and operational planning principlesExperience in one or more of the following areas:Organizational development or designProcess improvement / performance optimizationMission assurance or risk analysisFamiliarity with headquarters staff processes in a joint environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior leadersAbility to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insightsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environmentProficiency with Microsoft 365 toolsAbility to work independently and adapt to dynamic prioritiesAbility to appropriately handle and protect sensitive informationAbility to obtain a Top Secret security clearanceU.S. citizenshipPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting USTRANSCOM or similar DoD headquarters environmentsAdvanced knowledge of USTRANSCOM mission, structure, and operationsMaster's degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related fieldCertifications such as Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Prosci Change Management, or PMPExperience with research-based assessments and organizational improvement initiativesFamiliarity with defense resourcing, acquisition, and policy processesExperience with data analysis and visualization toolsFamiliarity with platforms such as Maven, Envision, or Palantir FoundryCurrent DoD security clearanceBenefitsTo demonstrate our commitment to our employees and their families, C5T offers a comprehensive benefits package including:Competitive salariesMedical, dental, and vision insurance options401(k) with company matchFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Supplemental benefits (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and more)Company-paid life insuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)10 paid holidays annuallyResponsible Paid Time Off (RPTO): flexible vacation and personal leave aligned with mission needsWhy Join C5T?At C5T, we support critical national defense missions by delivering innovative operational and technical solutions to our customers.
