As a Landscape Crew Member, you'll work as part of a dedicated team to bring beautiful landscape designs to life and keep them looking their best year-round. On the landscape construction team, you'll contribute to all aspects of landscape installation, from hardscaping to planting, while learning valuable skills in a supportive environment. In the maintenance division, you'll perform regular visits to clients' properties to keep their landscape thriving with lawn services, pruning, clean-ups, and enhancements. We're seeking hardworking, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in quality craftsmanship. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesLandscape Construction & InstallationInstall all phases of residential and commercial landscapes including hardscaping (patios, retaining walls, steps, pathways, water features), planting, irrigation systems, and outdoor lightingOperate powered equipment including skid steers, track hoes, loaders, trenchers, compactors, and sod cuttersFollow project plans and specifications to deliver quality resultsLandscape MaintenanceMaintain residential and commercial clients' properties through mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, and seasonal clean-upsApply products and perform enhancements as directed by your Crew LeaderOperate powered equipment including mowers, backpack blowers, string trimmers, and spray packsDrive a company truck with trailer between job sitesAll CrewsWork collaboratively with crew members and leadsCommunicate effectively about project needs and challengesSupport team efficiency through proper preparation and cleanupQualificationsRequired6 months to 1 year of experience in professional landscaping, landscape construction, or landscape maintenancePhysical capability to lift up to 75 lbs daily and perform demanding outdoor physical workComfortable working outdoors in a range of weather conditions year-roundReliable attendance and punctualityMust pass a pre-employment drug testPreferredValid driver's licenseKnowledge of Pacific Northwest plants and materialsWork Schedule and EnvironmentFour-day workweek, Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday10-hour days starting between 6:00–7:00 am depending on seasonOvertime opportunities during peak season (spring and summer)Based out of our SE Portland headquarters; travel between local job sites dailyBenefits & Pay RangeStarting wage of $18-23 per hour, dependent upon experience and qualificationsWeekly paychecksPaid time offComprehensive and affordable health insurance: medical, dental, vision, mental health, and alternative medicine401(k) with generous company match40% employee discount on all plants and retail merchandisePartner discounts and employee store passes at Danner, Carhartt, Duluth Trading, Adidas, and Columbia.Tuition reimbursement for ongoing educationOpportunities for professional growth and advancement within the companyAbout UsDennis’ 7 Dees is a family-owned and operated business with deep roots in the Portland area.
