Job title: CNC Programmer & Machinist (5-Axis)Location: Austin, TX (On-site)We are hiring for a precision manufacturing client in the aerospace/defense industry, focused on complex, high-tolerance components used in advanced engineering applications.This is a hands-on role requiring strong 5-axis programming experience and the ability to manage parts from programming through setup, prove-out, and optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram and machine complex parts using 5-axis CNC machinesDevelop and optimize toolpaths using CAM software (Fusion 360 required)Own the full manufacturing process including setup, fixturing, and tooling selectionPerform prove-outs and improve cycle times while maintaining tight tolerancesInterpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T standardsTroubleshoot machining issues and ensure consistent qualityRequired Qualifications4+ years of CNC programming and machining experienceStrong hands-on experience with 5-axis machiningProficiency in Fusion 360 (required)Solid understanding of GD&T and precision measurement toolsExperience working with complex materials such as titanium and stainless steelAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with high-end machining centers and advanced tooling strategiesExposure to automation, probing, or macro programmingWhy ApplyOpportunity to work on complex, high-precision componentsHigh level of ownership and autonomy in your workExposure to advanced manufacturing technologiesIf you are a CNC programmer with strong 5-axis and Fusion 360 experience, we encourage you to apply or reach out directly to learn more.
