Customer Service Associate Optum NY, is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team in Lake Success, NY. Growing together.This position is full time (37.5 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.We offer 12 weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.Primary Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer serviceConstantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standardsRespond to complex customer callsResolve customer service inquiries which could include:Benefit and Eligibility informationBilling and Payment issuesCustomer material requestsPhysician assignmentsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experienceMust be 18 years of age OR older1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems, OR 1+ years of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job dutiesBasic proficiency with Windows computer applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applicationsAbility to work full time (37.5 hours / week), Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in laboratory accessioningSoft Skills:Ability to navigate a computer while on the phoneAbility to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each productAbility to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitivePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $25.05 per hour based on full-time employment.
