School Nutrition SpecialistNon-exemptSupervisionIs supervised by and responsible to the campus Child Nutrition Manager and to the School Nutrition Director.SummaryPrepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements that is well balanced, nutritious and is an appetizing meal. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.Job Requirements:Be physically able to carry out the job requirementsBe clean and neat at all timesFollow all standards for food safety and sanitationExhibit a positive role model to studentsBe able to read, write, and follow written instructionsBe adaptable to working around and with childrenDemonstrate a professional attitude at all timesBe willing to work harmoniously with other workers, teachers and studentsBe willing to accept your share of responsibility in all parts of the meal programDo not allow personal likes and dislikes of food influence the childrenUnderstand the purpose of the school meal program and work for the betterment of the program at all timesConform to all local, state and federal requirements relating to the operation of the school lunch programSchool Nutrition experience is preferredWorking hours: 8 am - 2:30 pm
