Safety, Compliance and Hiring Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures
- Provide safety training to employees on various topics including first aid, CPR, and OSHA regulations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations such as EPA, OSHA, and Workers Compensation laws
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and near-misses
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance and incidents
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and drive a culture of safety awareness
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team. The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment, keep up with permits and to prevent accidents and injuries.
Ensure implementation and execution of Safety Programs to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Health and Safety Regulations. (OSHA)
Weekly meetings with management team, daily meetings and walk throughs with employees.
Maintain safety files, records, incident and document control.
Look for improvement opportunities in daily operations.
Investigate and report safety issues to management.
Assist with stormwater, city, state and environmental permitting.
Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding process
Handle drug screening of both current and new hire employees
Inspect daily operations, insure employees are following safety procedures
Must be willing to write up employees that are not following the guidelines.
Experience
Proven experience in occupational health and safety management
Excellent communication skills for report writing and training deliveryPrefer Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish)
Knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) practices
Familiarity with fabricating a safe work environment
Strong understanding of Workers Compensation laws
Certification in First Aid, CPR, or related fields is a plus
Prefer someone who is currently or previously in safety or compliance.
Managerial and/or supervisory experience
Ability to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency.
Knows Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Weekends as needed
Knowledge of fleet safety, OSHA, and DOT law.
Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required, minimum of high school diploma experience in safety knowledge and experience will be considered.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
