Job Description Job Title: VTL GrinderJob DescriptionThe VTL Grinder will perform essential operations on grinding and milling machines, ensuring the accurate loading and unloading of parts, conducting part inspections, and preparing and changing wheels. You will also be responsible for cleaning, performing preventive maintenance, and making minor adjustments to the assigned equipment. The role includes operating grinders, micrometers, gauges, various power tools, and computers, as well as performing minor maintenance tasks. You will manage and maintain the function of two or more machines in a cell and handle the setup processes involving lifting fixtures to chest height. Additionally, you will run a converted grinder that was previously a CNC mill.Hours: Weekends 6 am-6pmPay $21 an hour but may be able to go higher if you have the experience.ResponsibilitiesPerform operations on grinding and milling machines, including loading and unloading of parts.Conduct part inspections and prepare and change wheels.Clean and perform preventive maintenance and minor adjustments on equipment.Operate grinders, micrometers, gauges, and various power tools.Run and maintain the function of two or more machines in a cell.Lift fixtures to chest height for machinery setups.Run a converted grinder from a previous CNC mill.Essential SkillsProficiency in grinding and machine operation.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience with calipers and surface grinding.Familiarity with a machine shop environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-5 years of experience in conventional machining, including grinding, milling, drilling, and turning.Preferred 2+ years of relevant machining experience or education/training in machining.Why Work Here?Enjoy great benefits and a climate-controlled work environment that supports long-term career growth.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is climate-controlled and clean, ensuring a comfortable and efficient workspace.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Erlanger, KY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
