Our team handles restoring properties that have been damaged by fire, smoke, water, or mold as well as assists in vacant rental properties. Business hours are M-F 8:00 am. to 4:30 pm. Overtime will be offered as needed in the evenings and on the weekend. We provide a wide variety of services which keeps the job interesting. In this position, you will assist in a large variety of work. Some examples include demolition, conducting mold remediation, as well as cleaning and restoring interiors of homes damaged by fire, smoke, or water, using commercial cleaning equipment. Responsibilities: Drive van equipped with floor-mounted or portable commercial carpet, upholstery, and interior cleaning machines, tools, and supplies to work site. Clean carpet, upholstery, floors, walls, ceilings, draperies, windows, and room accessories to remove effects of smoke and water damage such as dirt, soot, stains, mildew, and excess water and moisture, using commercial cleaning machines mounted in a van with extension hoses or portable cleaning machines and variety of work aids, such as vacuum cleaners, chemical cleaning solutions, ladders, drop cloths, sponges, buckets, mops, and brushes. Place fans and dehumidifiers in strategic room locations to remove moisture from carpet, upholstery, and air. Verify moisture presence and removal with moisture sensor. Spray or fog carpet, upholstery, and accessories with fabric conditioners and protectors, deodorizers, and disinfectants, using hand and power sprayers and electric foggers, applying knowledge of types of fabrics, dyes, and chemical sprays. Attend and participate in staff meetings as required or requested. Maintain awareness of proper safety precautions at all times. Maintain vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including worksite and equipment. Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers, and the general public, at all times, on or off the property or job. Assisting with emergency jobs such as water, fire, and mold jobs after normal working hours as needed Assist other staff members and parts of the company as needed. Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager, or Owner. Required Qualifications: Education Requirement: High School Diploma/GED equivalent Work Experience: Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand and power tools, user-moved aids, and mechanical equipment (e.g. read a tape measure, drills, circular saws, miter saws, saw-zalls, hammers, pliers, wrenches ) Work History: Minimum of 2 years in current position License/Certifications: Valid driver’s license Transportation: Reliable transportation required Overtime Availability: Willingness to work in emergency situations after hours, weekdays, weekends, and holidays Physical: Ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment up to 50 pounds Other: Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Walking, pushing/pulling, standing, sitting, bending, crouching, crawling and climbing are necessary throughout the day. This position may be exposed to various weather conditions when working on the exterior of a property. It may be necessary to lift weights up to 50 pounds. It is essential to be safety-conscious as there is exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes/airborne particles, and the risk of electrical shock.
