OverviewMural Group is partnering with a multi-site specialty metals manufacturer that produces high-performance alloys for aerospace, energy, and heavy industrial applications to hire a Senior Reliability Engineering Manager.This is a corporate leadership role responsible for standardizing maintenance practices and improving equipment uptime across several legacy manufacturing plants. The focus is on building and executing a company-wide reliability strategy, not hands-on maintenance.You will lead the rollout of an Asset Reliability Management Program, align plant teams to consistent preventive maintenance and RCA practices, and drive measurable improvements in uptime and equipment performance.ResponsibilitiesReliability Program LeadershipLead deployment of a multi-site Asset Reliability Management ProgramStandardize preventive maintenance, outage planning, and RCA practicesEstablish and track reliability KPIs across plantsDrive accountability for uptime and maintenance performanceMulti-Site LeadershipManage 3 direct reports and influence a broader maintenance organizationPartner with plant leaders and engineering teamsTravel to sites to review performance and drive executionPerformance and StandardsIdentify gaps in maintenance performance and implement improvementsBuild and enforce maintenance and reliability standardsReplicate best practices across sitesSystems and ExecutionPartner with CMMS teams to improve PM compliance and data accuracyImprove maintenance planning, scheduling, and work executionRequirementsIndustry ExperienceBackground in steel, specialty metals, or heavy industrial manufacturingExperience with melt shops, furnaces, EAF, forging, or rolling mill environmentsExperience working with legacy equipment in capital-intensive plantsTechnical and LeadershipBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years in reliability, maintenance, or industrial engineering leadershipExperience implementing RCM or structured reliability programsStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience with CMMS systems.
