Position- Pharmacist - Pharmacy AdvisorLocation- Fully Remote (Must be located in either AZ, HI, TX, IL, FL, or PA and have an active pharmacist license in that state.)Contract: 03+ Months (Contract with extension potential)Shift- M-F & rotating Sat 8-hour shift starting between 8:00a - 11:00a CT. Training will be 8:00a-4:30p CT.Note: Must be located in either AZ, HI, TX, IL, FL, or PA and have an active pharmacist license in that state.Position SummaryThe Clinical Pharmacist in the Pharmacy Advisor program plays a critical role in improving patient health outcomes through targeted clinical interventions. This role involves providing telephonic counseling and personalized support to patients with chronic conditions, leveraging advanced systems and behavioral interviewing techniques. Pharmacists collaborate closely with patients, prescribers, and internal teams to address medication adherence, optimize therapy, and enhance overall patient care. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide telephonic counseling, education, and support (90%) to patients regarding medication therapy, disease management, and treatment adherence Conduct outbound and inbound calls to patients identified through clinical programs Partner with patients to resolve non-adherence issues and improve therapeutic outcomes Collaborate with providers and pharmacies (5%) to resolve medication-related concerns Perform drug utilization reviews (DUR) and assess the need for additional therapies Utilize behavioral modification and motivational interviewing techniques to support patients Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations Work in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment and meet performance goals Participate in ongoing training and contribute to process improvements Perform other duties as assigned (5%) Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Active Pharmacist License in one of the following states: AZ, HI, TX, IL, FL, or PA Minimum 1+ year of pharmacist experience in Retail, LTC, Hospital, PBM, or direct patient consultation Strong communication and patient counseling skills Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new technologies Solid understanding of pharmacy laws, clinical guidelines, and medication therapy management Preferred QualificationsExperience working with chronic disease states, especially diabetes Background in drug utilization review (DUR) and prior authorization processes Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Experience in PBM or telephonic clinical roles
