As a talent engineer, you will build the sourcing, automation, data, and workflow infrastructure that helps us identify, engage, and close world-class candidates. That includes building candidate pipelines, automating research and outreach, improving recruiting operations, and using data to make hiring faster, sharper, and more reliable. We take talent density seriously.What You'll DoBuild systems that identify and surface high-signal candidates across engineering, product, design, security, data, and business rolesCreate sourcing automations that turn messy public data into clean, useful candidate pipelinesImprove recruiter and hiring manager workflows across sourcing, outreach, screening, scheduling, and trackingBuild internal tools that help us evaluate, prioritize, and engage candidates fasterUse data to understand where our best candidates come from and how to improve conversion through the funnelExperiment with new ways to find exceptional people before they are actively lookingPartner closely with founders, hiring managers, and recruiters on critical searchesWhat You NeedMinimum of 3 years experience in a software development, data, automation, or technical recruiting operations roleAbility to work in a fast-paced startup environment with imperfect informationStrong technical judgment and ability to understand what great engineering talent looks likeCuriosity and drive to continuously improve how hiring worksAbility to build reliable internal tools and automations with high attention to detailStrong communication skills and good judgment when handling candidate informationComfort working across data, product, recruiting, and operationsNice-to-havesStartup experience or experience as a technical founderExperience building internal tools, sourcing systems, or recruiting automationStrong taste for clean workflows and simple operational interfacesExperience with data enrichment, scraping, search, LLMs, or candidate matching systemsExperience recruiting or sourcing technical talentBenefits$250,000K+ and a competitive equity packageUnlimited PTO, with full health, vision, dental coverageFree access to EquinoxLunch & dinner paid for Monday thru FridayThe latest MacBook Pro & tech accessoriesAbout WhopWhop is a financial technology company on a mission to provide the world with sustainable income.
