Materials Supervisor

We owe our success to the quality of our employees, our strong commitment to safety, and our superior service to our customers.The Materials Supervisor is a critical role within USA Compression, responsible for managing the logistics and coordination of all inventory, spare parts, supplies, and tools. In doing so, the Materials Manager will adequately support the field material representatives and services teams in providing a high-quality level of service to the customer.Understand and follow all safety and environmental policiesCoordinate and schedules routine inventory counts and internal auditsProvide proactive communication at the field level to customers and employeesAdvise Area Service Managers of inventory status in area, as neededManage general housekeeping duties in warehouse, field storage, and office areasAssist in development of budget and cost controlParticipate in safety training program and contribute to continuous improvement of safety guidelinesAct as company liaison to other outside vendors, as requiredAssist Sr Materials Manager with execution of corporate strategies and initiativesResponsible for hiring, retention, development, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and training of the regional materials teamEstablish key metrics to monitor inventory management performance and identify areas of improvementAssists with routing and coding of invoicesAny other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Sr Manager.Full-time salary position.Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:High School diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 8 or more years relevant work experienceValid driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Record history acceptable to USA CompressionCommunicates a "can do" attitude and positive outlook, minimizing negative behaviorsStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to ensure ethical behavior in all dealings with suppliersExcellent numerical perceptionAbility to work independently and with a teamMust be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentEffective time managementDemonstrates good judgmentDemonstrates a strong attention to detailDemonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlledMaintains direction and focus through proactive planning and organized approaches to workAbility to understand written and verbal communication from the company and senior management including training, procedures, instructions, etc.Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.SWorking Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Periodic lifting requirements in excess of 50 lbs.
