This position involves analyzing market trends, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and maintaining effective relationships to secure high-quality products.ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 - Identify potential suppliers and conduct thorough evaluations to assess their capabilities, pricing, and quality to ensure they meet the organization's requirements.Job Duty 2- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide support in sourcing goods and services effectively.Job Duty 3 - Engage in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable contract terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions.Job Duty 4 - Create and process purchase orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, and pricing to facilitate timely delivery of goods and services.Job Duty 5- Track inventory levels and usage rates to anticipate needs and prevent stockouts, ensuring that the organization has the necessary materials to operate effectively.Job Duty 6 - Perform regular price analysis to compare costs among suppliers and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.Job Duty 7 - Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly to ensure a smooth procurement process.Job Duty 8 - Generate reports on procurement activities, including spending patterns, supplier performance, and compliance with procurement policies.Job Duty 9 - Stay informed about market trends and changes in the supply chain landscape to make informed purchasing decisions and adapt strategies accordingly.Job Duty 10 - Perform other duties as assigned.Educational Requirements Required Qualifications Associate degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience.Required Experience2+ years of relevant experience.Preferred QualificationsAdditional Preferred QualificationsCertified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)Preferred Educational QualificationsBachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience. Proposed Salary Annual salary: $56,679 - $75,000Skills Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities This job requires basic knowledge of and skill in applying business purchasing processes and practices. This includes skills in negotiation, written and spoken communications and attention to detail. Use of standard office and specialized computer applications is also required.
