Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support the medical team at the Madison County Jail, including assisting a special needs patient with daily care and activities of daily living.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on patient interaction and understands the importance of patience, consistency, dignity, and compassionate care. In addition to general nursing support duties within the facility, this position will provide focused assistance to a patient requiring additional support with mobility, hygiene, and other daily living needs.

Job DescriptionAs a CNA, you will assist nursing staff with patient care and daily medical operations within the facility while also helping support a special needs patient with routine daily care needs. Professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, and reliability are essential in this role.
Responsibilities Include:Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADL’s), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding assistance, and mobility support
Providing compassionate one-on-one support for a special needs patient
Taking and recording vital signs
Supporting nurses with daily patient care activities
Assisting with transfers, ambulation, and repositioning as needed
Preparing exam and treatment areas
Maintaining accurate documentation
Observing and reporting changes in patient condition
Promoting patient dignity, comfort, and safety at all times
