About the Role We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing welding operations, ensuring products meet quality standards, and maintaining equipment. Your expertise in TIG welding and blueprint reading will be essential to maximizing production efficiency and contributing to our continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities Execute welding tasks to fabricate metal products, adhering to stringent quality specifications. Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to verify compliance with quality benchmarks prior to submission. Maintain welding equipment in optimal condition, including regular cleaning and fluid level checks. Troubleshoot and resolve basic manufacturing issues, escalating complex problems to supervision as needed. Collaborate effectively with team members to streamline workflow and enhance overall productivity. Identify and communicate opportunities for setup reduction and Lean process improvements to the appropriate team lead. Utilize the E2 management system accurately to meet all company standards and maintain data integrity. Qualifications Required Skills Proficiency in welding thin gauge material with excellent penetration and aesthetic quality. Expertise in operating a TIG welder, complemented by MIG welding knowledge. Solid understanding of basic mathematical concepts. Ability to interpret and apply information from blueprints and technical documents relevant to machine operation. Familiarity with using various inspection gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality. Preferred Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience operating various shop tools, including hand tools and rolls. Commitment to continuous improvement and disciplined processes, with a proactive approach to analyzing and enhancing existing workflows. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks.
