CNC Machinist / Machine Technician

Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Machine Technician to support machining operations, prototype fabrication, equipment setup, and dimensional inspection activities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on machining knowledge, experience operating CNC equipment, and a solid understanding of precision measurement and manufacturing processes.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and support CNC milling and/or turning equipmentPerform machine setup, tooling setup, work offsets, and fixture preparationRead and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specificationsSelect appropriate cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for different materials and applicationsSupport prototype machining, fabrication, and process developmentPerform dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and other metrology equipmentVerify machined part quality and maintain inspection recordsTroubleshoot machining and dimensional issuesSupport preventive maintenance and shop organizationCoordinate with engineering teams on manufacturability and machining improvementsFollow all shop safety and operational proceduresRequired Skills & QualificationsExperience operating CNC machines and machining equipmentStrong understanding of machining fundamentals and manufacturing processesAbility to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances/GD&TExperience with precision measurement and inspection techniquesFamiliarity with machining materials such as aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and engineering plasticsStrong understanding of G-code and CNC programming conceptsStrong troubleshooting and hands-on mechanical skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksPreferred QualificationsExperience with CAM softwareExperience with manual mills, lathesKnowledge of fixture design and tooling selectionPrototype or low-volume manufacturing experienceTechnical school or machining/manufacturing related background preferredMonday-Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM
